Communication

The latest generation of ICS-electronics and the AS-Pattern Controls are providing a wide range of communication interfaces. Various inputs and outputs facilitate the integration and communication with the control of the host machine and disburden it from application specific tasks. The operation is simple and mostly language independent.

PROFIBUS-DP
The optional PROFIBUS-DP is an open bus system and enables the hotmelt appliances with ICS-electronics but also the pattern controllers to communicate with the state-of-the-art PLC-controls and to establish network capabilities.

CAN-Bus
The latest generation of hotmelt appliances is providing the communication via CAN-Bus by means of the optional EXT2-board. This feature enables the devices to communicate with the state-of-the-art PLC-controls and to establish network capabilities.

RS-232
The hotmelt appliances and pattern controllers are providing a serial RS-232 interface, whereby the communication is based on the standard SLIP network protocol. The access to the device parameters is realized by the SNMP-protocol.

Ethernet

The latest generation of the hotmelt appliances and pattern controllers is providing the state-of-the-art Ethernet interface. The communication is based on UDP/IP network protocol and standard Ethernet IEEE 802.3. The access to the device parameters is realized by the SNMP-protocol.

SNMP Protocol
The “Simple Network Monitoring Protocol” (SNMP)

offers an easy method to the machine builder to write his own software for the main controller in order to visualize the appliance parameters on the host machine. The latest generation of the regular hotmelt devices is supporting the SNMP-protocol which is communicating via USB / RS-232 interface.

RobaPAR
The program »RobaPAR« permits to read, edit and write all data of Robatech hotmelt applicators and applicator controls. The data can be read from the appliance over the RS232 or Ethernet interfaces and further processed on a PC / notebook.
